After 50 years working in the bakery industry, you would think you would be be safe to say you know it all.  Well that’s where your wrong, Sean has always said that every day he learns something new about his craft.  It’s a mantra that he has drummed into our apprentice and master bakers alike.  So the fact that Sean has headed down to Nottinghamshire to attend a bakery school while on holiday may sound crazy to some, however to those who have worked with him it is no surprise at all the phrase “pig in muck” comes to mind.

Why Nottinghamshire?  The answer is simple… Wayne Caddy. In Wayne, Sean has found a kindred spirit. He is talented (UK’s first finalist in Les Masters de la Boulangerie), humble and has a real passion to pass on the craft of baking to others.

The news from Nottinghamshire is that Sean is loving every minute of his week- great bread, great fun and a visit from another bakery great - Mary Berry.

We look forward to seeing what Sean has learned when he comes back but in the mean time we will try to keep our facebook album updated.
